Six tiny games · One overqualified corgi
The Barkley
Academy
Serious subjects. Unserious corgi.
Some subjects only get read when something's already gone wrong — the benefits booklet,
the food-safety page, the “is this text a scam?” search at midnight. The Barkley Academy
teaches them before that, in ten-minute games hosted by a corgi who has
never met a concept he couldn't pun through. Pick a school. Earn a ridiculous diploma.
Accidentally learn something load-bearing.

Escape the Danger Zone

Something Phishy

The 72-Hour Question
Ranger Barkley (hard hat: regulation) installs the three things every shaky-coastline household needs: the Drop-Cover-Hold-On reflex — drilled while your screen shakes — a grab-and-go bag you pack yourself (beware the lasagna), and a family plan that fits on a card.

The Special Authority Saga
The trilogy's boss level: how the provincial drug layer, Special Authority, and your extended plan stack into one bill — taught through a diabetic pug's new sensor and a 🦴36,000-a-year biologic that ends up costing a family 🦴180 a month. The stack is real, and it's spectacular.

Meet the dean
Claude Barkley
Claude Barkley — B.A. (Barkelor of Bonefits), D.B. ×3, C.K.G., Lead Scent-Hound, Expedition Lead, and a very good boy — is a corgi with round glasses, a navy bow tie, and an unexplainable talent for getting promoted. He has served as Chief Fetchuary at Pawcific Benefits, run the Fair Fetch Price Desk, navigated the pharmacy stack, earned a chef's toque, solved the Something Phishy case in a tweed deerstalker, and led a 72-hour expedition in a regulation hard hat.
His teaching method is consistent across all fields: one concept at a time, a treat when you get it, a hint when you don't, and receipts for everything. He believes urgency is the enemy, labels are love, and no question is embarrassing if you ask it while patting a dog.
The pets he teaches — the chaotically uninsurable Whisker-Waggins household — are fictional. The concepts are not.

How these were made
The corgi is load-bearing.
Every game is a single self-contained HTML file — no frameworks, no build step,
no network calls — designed and written as a collaboration between a human learning
designer and an AI co-author. Each one follows the same production bar: concepts verified
against current public guidance before a single question was written, all math and answer
keys unit-tested, and every build played end-to-end by an automated browser before
shipping. The jokes are hand-fed. The corgi is load-bearing.
The tiny print, wearing a bow tie
The Barkley Academy is an educational demo. The insurance games use fictional plans;
the food-safety, scam and preparedness games are modeled on publicly available Canadian
guidance (Health Canada, HealthLinkBC, Get Cyber Safe, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre,
PreparedBC, the Great BC ShakeOut — as of mid-2026). It is not affiliated with,
endorsed by, or speaking for any government, agency, insurer, or employer, and it is
not advice. Official pages are always the source of truth — each game's 🌐 Source Shelf
points to them. No real bones were spent.
